Empowering women and minorities and increasing awareness of opportunities in the tech industry, Women Who Code Special Interest Group works to debunk the idea that code and technology is a scary and unfamiliar realm through developing workshops, lessons, and events that focuses on familiarizing participants with coding. An Undergraduate Instructor for the course INFO-I 211, Information Infrastructure II. Over the course of two semesters, my job is to assist the instructor in lectures and lab sessions and provide peers with guidance and instructions on how to use Python to efficiently code programs in real world systems, manipulate databases, and understand web services and client programs.
