Throughout my years of leadership at Digital Blue, my role has expanded multiple times to meet the changing needs of a rapidly growing company. As we streamlined our management team from four down to just two managing partners in 2010, I stepped up as President, continuing to lead sales, business development, and event management processes while providing executive leadership to secure our long-term success.In 2016, I led a comprehensive rebranding and restructuring initiative, closely aligning our services with our new brand and communicating an authentic, client-centered brand message to our clients, prospects and other key audiences.

Joining this burgeoning event management startup as one of four partners, I played a key role in steering vision and driving company growth. During the company’s early years, I frequently served as the glue that kept the partnership together, ensuring we were all in sync as we guided the future direction of the company. Spurring both organic and acquisitional growth, I helped expand business opportunities in the technology sector and, in 2009, assisted in our first large acquisition, a payroll management company that provided a critical new revenue stream for our business.

Promoted to manage some of Encore’s most prominent accounts – including IBM – I was tasked with understanding every facet of my client’s needs and expectations, then assigning appropriate teams to execute each event within defined timelines and budgets. I was also instrumental in translating complex technical and production language into easily understood, results-focused concepts, such as return on investment and cost-savings.

I got my start as a delivery driver, transporting high-value audiovisual and other equipment to event venues throughout the city. Quickly earning the trust of staff at high-profile venues and key contacts on Encore’s Fortune 500 client roster, I was promoted to Technical Director and entrusted with executing on the vision of our clients and event producers and responsible for all things logistical and technical, including audiovisual and staff budgets, venue interface, local labor/support, stage design and more.I also served as a Corporate Liaison to facilitate the sharing of resources between Encore and its joint venture partner, George P Johnson, translating the corporate languages and culture between the two agencies into a dynamic working relationship that provided IBM clients with a “one-stop-shop” service solution.
