Post Doctoral Research Fellow in Agricultural Microbiology. Through my recent experience in Catholic University, I had a chance to take a part in on-going debates and initiatives on increasing the sustainability of food systems in Sub Saharan Africa, by examining the role of neglected, under-utilised and indigenous vegetables in the soil biodiversity and fertility. I further collaborated with Prof. Edoardo Puglisi to reach the spesific objectives in various projects involving several companies and research groups.In this role my spesific duties were (including but not limited to):- First hand involvement in project activities from field to peer-reviewed publications.- Wetted and introduced new lab procotols and sampling methods.- In vitro studies on; Microbiology and biochemistry assays, DNA isolation, PCR, qPCR, Classical and High-Thoughput Enzyme Assays, Qualitative Microbiology Assays for PGPR properties, Isolation of Bacteria and Fungi- Played roles in; Inter- & intra-institutional collaborations - Teached; Molecular Biology and Applied Agrifood Microbiology Labs
