It has always come naturally to me to have good organisational skills of information, resources and time management – working as a Programming Project Leader I set development timescales and prioritised tasks. As a social person, I enjoy talking to all kinds of people, particularly in a relaxed and informal way - naturally putting them at their ease - I have good written and oral communication skills. As a former Analyst, I needed to listen carefully to a person’s requirements, ask questions to gain feedback and clarification – before writing detailed proposal documents which were clear and accurate.I readily take a customer service perspective - If someone has a problem – my natural reaction is to try to help them to find a solution. I am an empathetic and fair person, respectful of someone else’s point of view, and believe in flexibility - with a “can-do” enabling approach. My aim is to work to high quality standards, to produce results which meet or exceed expectations.I understand Business and Marketing requirements through the computer systems I developed to support them - and have supported pre-sales meetings in the software business.I have recently enabled two small businesses to promote themselves by setting up (easy for client to maintain) websites, which include automatic generation of smartphone/tablet formatted layouts. I also maintain (standard HTML) websites for Midcheshire Mind, and Task Management UK, and have applied Search Engine Optimisation to all of the sites.I have successfully setup original displays and assisted at promotional events, in both commercial and community / voluntary environments, and promote the value of Life Long Learning in my role as a CWaC Community Learning Champion.I have several years’ experience in the voluntary sector – supporting and enabling Adult (IT) Learners for CWaC Community Learning since 2012, and with Midcheshire Mind since 2007 - following 25+ years technically developing IT Business Systems.
