About Sarah Siddique
👋 Hi I'm Sarah a Civil Engineering Student at Toronto Metropolitan (Ryerson) University. I’m an individual who views work with a passion for learning and growth, respects people from all facets of life, is an active listener, and approaches challenges with enthusiasm and determination to find a solution. 🎓 Current Academic Activities:- I have gained a strong understanding of civil engineering principles - structural, transportation, and environmental engineering through my coursework. I am highly proficient in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, ArcGIS, etc.- In a technologically advancing world, I am interested and working on learning data analytic tools such as Power BI and SQL.- From project work and witnessing the present status of the world, I've learned the importance of redesigning our current operations to be more environmentally sustainable and improving processes to increase levels of efficiency while simultaneously reducing GHG emissions.- I am the Finance Executive of the TMU Muslim Association - Orphan Sponsorship Program and developed teamwork, organization, budgeting, and advertising skills. This role taught me the importance of community, staying connected, and helping people in need!🏙️My Aspirations and Goals:- I aim to combine environmental consciousness into the construction sector because of how detrimental the building sector can be to contributing to air pollution. - I also hope to gain experience in how to reduce congestion and traffic flow by implementing electric public transportation to reduce carbon emissions.- I want to make the world a better place by being greener, making it more economically fair, and making it more social and inviting. I hope to work alongside other engineering disciplines in the future to collaborate and create exciting and innovative ideas.💖 Things I Love- Travel ✈️ Meeting others 😊 Food 🍛Send me a message if you'd like to connect!
