I was involved in gross dissection of the specimens, embedding of tissue samples, microtomy, staining,preparation and staining of cytological material. During my work, I was trained to communicate with front office personnel in the sample reception stations. I also received training on immunostaining of tissue samples using Roche BenchMark Ultra machine. I can evaluate slides stained for ER, PR, HER2 status. I was also trained to do technical evaluation of slides stained for different cytoplasmic, nuclear, and membranous markers stained on this machine. I received preliminary training in evaluating cases of breast carcinoma stained for HER2 using dual ISH technique.
