My expertise lies in the development of new MEMS processes, commencing with project definition up to the conclusion of the industrialization phase. I have a history of managing MEMS foundry subcontractors for the development of products for the commercial, automotive and space sectors. I have also been involved in the roadmap definition for new technologies and helped shape strategy decisions on products under development. I am always seeking to obtain a 360 view of the product as it enables targeting process integration problems in the corresponding sites. An extra facilitator to the previous is direct contact with the engineers within the foundry as well as own-eyes observation of error modes and experimental results (microscope, SEM, EDX, AVI). Problem solving is the task I enjoy the most in this line of work. Being part of a broader team, I like being the initiator of bidirectional communication with relevant stakeholders (Probing, FT, Failure Analysis, Reliability, Quality), as a common ground for feedback exchange, problem solving and planning all the way to Product Release. My Design experience includes the use of FEM packages (Comsol, CoventorWare, MEMS+) for the simulation of different types of sensors (gas flow, microfluidic, accelerometer, Infrared thermometer) as well as the use of CAD software for mask design. I have also experience in managing Package subcontractors. Although limited compared to the MEMS part, it still offers me a view on the general process capabilities, hurdles and the way of working of the packaging houses. In general, I like working with people that stay committed to the set goal until the very end, even when it seems increasingly difficult to reach a positive result. I also welcome functioning in new environments and learning new things; in this context I believe I can take thinking and problem solving further than the average boundaries. Literal crossing of boundaries is also what I had been doing in my last 1.5yr, while traveling in various countries.
