Dr. Eng. Tataru Dragos is a Senior Researcher and Head of Applied Geophysics, Prevention and Education Laboratory of National Institute for Earth Physics (INFP) in Romania. For the past ten years he is leading the educational and outreach direction developed by NIEP. He has a strong background in seismology with more than 20 years of work experience in the seismology research field on topics like seismicity analysis, seismic velocity structure investigation using innovative techniques and science education and outreach. He was leading two important national educational projects (ROEDUSEIS roeduseis.ro & MOBEE mobee.infp.ro) and he was involved in the implementation of several other national and international education programmes aiming at developing teaching resources, delivering teachers workshops and science communication. Experience in disseminating research results through scientific communications and publications (more than 30 communications at international conferences, 30 at national conferences and workshops, last to be mention main organizer of The National Conference of The Community "Education for Sciences” 11.2017 and SERA teachers' workshop in the framework of H2020 SERA project http://www.sera-eu.org/en/Dissemination/teacher-workshops/ ). Also, to be mention is the position of NIEP partner coordinator of the project ARISTOTLE (All Risk Integrated System TOwards Trans-boundary hoListic Early-warning) that delivered world multi-hazard capability to the Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC) in the form of a a flexible multi-hazard scalable early-warning service and comprehensive reporting of the available information gathered by the 24/7 after a disaster, complemented by expert analysis readily available upon request.
