CurrentKEY PROJECTS:Spearheaded the formation of the first drill island in state lands within Potash area in Lea County, NM, by developed relationships with federal and state regulators, which allowed Amtex to hold 1,800+ acres that would have expired, enabling an additional 20 horizontal well locations to be drilled successfully.Developed the company’s Land Department from scratch, including implementing Land roles and responsibilities, creating land files, bringing in GIS capabilities, setting up company base map on ESRI mapping software ArcMap, and utilizing IHS subscription data and public data to create more data-rich maps and labels. Established a company lease layer and map and assisted with development planning and surface facility logistics. Lead negotiator on a 6,500-acre divestiture of assets in Lea County, NM, including marketing the asset to potential buyers, negotiating multiple offers simultaneously, working with attorneys, and ultimately closed the deal that resulted in a 7x ROI. Reinvested over $30M of the proceeds in real property assets utilizing 1031 exchange vehicle.Other responsibilities include:Perform due diligence on operated assets to ensure well pay decks are set up correctly and revenue distributions are paid appropriately.Management experience includes supervising Landmen, Data Analyst and interns, as well as recruiting and creating offer letters for contract geologist, Senior Accountant, and Administrative Assistant.Establish company and employee goals, identify operational inefficiencies and implement internal best practices.Conduct annual review of data subscriptions such as IHS, DrillingInfo, and others. Assist with setup and management of PETRA and its subscription database.Establish and implement strategic growth plan for asset acquisitions, including leasehold, mineral and well acquisitions.Evaluate business ventures outside of oil and gas, including commercial real estate and car wash businesses.
