Aaron Tate is a passionate technologist and designer with more than a decade of experience in game and software development, dedicated to enhancing human potential and well-being using technology. He holds cross-disciplinary expertise in game development, data analytics, and cognitive neuroscience, which has enabled him to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world application. Currently, he serves as the Director of Emerging Technology at Center for BrainHealth, where he is the Technology Lead on two digital health platforms, Charisma: Virtual Social Training and The BrainHealth Project. Charisma, a virtual social training platform he co-invented and led the technology development for over a decade, allows clinicians to train their clients in social strategies using an online virtual world. The BrainHealth Project is a cutting-edge digital platform that provides personalized cognitive training and assessment tools. Aaron's significant contributions to these platforms have earned him several honors, including the Fast Company Innovation by Design Finalist in 2021 and the Epic Games Mega Grant for Charisma. Additionally, he was a member of the 2019 Oculus Launchpad Cohort, and his game Digital Emotes received honorable mention at the 2020 Games for Change – VR Alcove competition.
