And how do we continue to add the features and functionality they need to stay with us?I have the unique vantage point of having grown up in product management, starting as a product manager and working my way up to senior leadership, and having roles and responsibilities across the organization including go-to-market, operations, channel development and sales. Nothing gives you empathy for your sales team like having carried a quota yourself. This end-to-end experience helps me both connect with my colleagues and know what is possible – and where to push – to engage our customers and simplify their journey.This combination of depth and breadth has helped me earn respect across levels, cultures and time zones. Executives and Board members, cross-functional peers and teams, customers and direct reports know I’m a team player with a growth mindset who likes to test and learn, apply and improve, and then do it again. My goal is to inspire my team to own challenges - defining the problem, brainstorming outcomes, utilizing design thinking with customers, laying out assets and tradeoffs, and then executing the solve – and my job is to communicate the vision and clear the roadblocks for success.When I’m not at work? I leave the white board behind and trade communicating for communing with nature on my fishing boat.
