I will admit, my background is fairly unique.After 8 and a half years in the insurance industry, I decided to make a change, but had no idea what that might look like. So I took a mid-career break and moved from Saskatchewan, Canada to Washington, DC to pursue my MBA. It was a big risk, but good things do not happen without a bit of risk and hard work. During my second semester, I was involved on a consulting project with a generic pharmaceutical manufacturer, identifying key profit erosion in the US market, which included a trip to India to present to client leadership. The seed was planted. In the final year of my studies, my major projects were related to the life sciences industry, and I knew what my next path looked like. Currently based in Orange County, California, I manage projects that give me the opportunity to make a small contribution to the well-being of others. In addition to life sciences, consulting, and insurance, I also have experience in the public sector, sports, and business development.
