Starting and successfully managing a consulting firm that services agencies across three states reflects my entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen. My experience building a business from the ground up allows me to provide the council with first-hand knowledge and insights into entrepreneurship, particularly in the health and human services sector. T. Scott Consulting works with a broad range of agencies, including group homes, transitional programs, drug treatment centers, and physical therapy clinics. This wide spectrum of interactions has given me a holistic view of the health and human services industry.

Program Surveyor and Consultant for Behavioral Health, Network Business and Services Management, Employment and Community Services, Youth and Family Services, and Opioid Treatement Programs.Programs surveyed provide services that include many types of living and care options, including addiction and substance abuse treatment, rehabilitation after an injury or disease, employment for persons with a disability, home and community services, and retirement living.Measure conformance to standards in a continued effort to identify areas for improvement and growth and help the service provider focus on improved service outcomes, satisfaction of the persons served, and quality service delivery.

Develop and implement organization’s social service program which services 315 residents within 2 residential senior, disabled and low income housing programs.Ensure programs maintain compliance with state, federal and accreditation regulations.Responsible for maintaining programs quality assurance policies, programs and initiatives. Monitors service deliery from community agencies while promoting wellness activities for residents and providing education on community resources.

Provided direction in the areas of quality management to the following: (8) Housing programs, (2) Treatment facilities, (3) Emergency Homeless Shelters and a Michigan Prisoner Reentry Program.Lead CARF and licensing compliance process relative to housing and treatment services including establishing and supervising committees as well as program training and development. Under the general direction of the Chief Operating Officer, provided oversight to the Program Managers of 8 housing programs.Ensured the establishment of standards and delivery of a high quality of services to program participants which include case management, sobriety services, advocacy, life skills support, housing placement, health coordination, employment and education assistance.

Serviced at risk clients and their families in both Families First and In-Home Programs.Provided juvenile delinquency intervention and court advocacy to youth under court orders
