- Leveraged React Context API and React Hooks to design an event-driven state management system with predictable, unidirectional data flow to reduce prop-drilling and handle asynchronous behavior without the overhead of a third-party state management library. (tether this to the project)- Utilized Typescript to enforce static typing and implement interfaces to catch errors earlier, guide development and make the application easier to scale and maintain. (tether this to the project)- Used D3.js as a data visualization solution, leveraging data interpolation to provide flexibility and control over the way data may be visualized, and for its use of SVGs, which maintain clarity when magnified.- Recoil API was used to extract Recoil state snapshots and revert state values to previous instances to allow for time travel debugging functionality, made possible by Recoil API’s ability to collect and alter Recoil application state as a whole.- Took advantage of React Fiber Architecture to gather information on component attributes and performance, node dependencies and render duration properties were extracted and used to build visualizations of component-state relationships and render metrics, allowing developers to highlight areas of low performance and uncover the root cause.- Practiced Test Driven Development via the Jest testing suite, utilized for its snapshot testing, and concurrent execution of tests to efficiently test code for breaking changes and guide development.- Utilized Netlify to host the Recoilize webpage, utilized for its compatibility with GitHub, and CI/CD practices via automated builds.- Product developed under tech accelerator OS Labs (opensourcelabs.io)

GIT CONNECTED | Social networking for individuals working/seeking jobs in tech- Used Node.js (Express), leveraging the performance of concurrent, event driven architecture to build a REST API for serving static files, and querying the SQL database.- A websocket library (Socket.io) implemented for its real-time bi-directional communication between multiple clients while ensuring a fallback for browser support and automatically handling dropped connections, was used to create a robust, reliable chat feature.- User authorization was implemented with BCrypt by comparing hashed passwords taking advantage of BCrypts adjustable salt to provide scalable security against attacks.- Utilized a SQL database to store usernames and hashed passwords, user job information and user connections, enforcing structure and ACID compliance to the data.

LOCAL TOMATOES | Proximity Based Search Engine for Farmers Markets- Incorporated Redux to provide defined data flow and application structure with a single source of truth, making for a predictable and highly scalable state management solution.- Configured Webpack to provide faster production runtime via minification and uglification of the code base as well as in-line styling.- Utilized Axios as an HTTP-client alongside Redux-Thunk middleware to allow asynchronous API requests to be made within Redux action creators, to retrieve farmers market data as the result of a state changing event.
