Pediatric cancer research with a focus on neuroblastoma and medulloblastoma, connecting lab work to individualized therapy. As part of the Beat Childhood Cancer team, formerly NMTRC, I conduct in vitro and in vivo investigation of the mechanisms of neuroblastoma relapse with a focus on therapeutics such as DFMO and their effect on cancer stem cells. Laboratory skills: Western Blot and RT-qPCR analysis, siRNA-mediated knockdown, mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry and cell sorting, migration assays, neurosphere assays, cell viability and ATP/cell analysis, gene expression profiling, mouse xenograft and IP injections and oral gavage, limiting dilution assays, mouse tumor processing.
