I am a lived experience consultant for two multiyear Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs:ENRICH: a multi-year Traumatic Brain Injury and Psychological Health Research Program within the DoD being led by a team of researchers from the Brain Injury Research Center of Mt. Sinai. The study is examining current TBI protocols within the DoD and is generating improvement recommendations based on good science, and the CAG is ensuring that those recommendations are actionable in the field. ADEPT: a separate 4-year Traumatic Brain Injury and Psychological Health Research Program within the DoD being led by a team of researchers from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) team conducting multiyear clinical trials of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) treatments for service members and veterans with traumatic brain injury (TBI).
