I oversee a remote team in application development for the Android branch of the video streaming app Nebula, and coordinate development between several other team leads, and the Director of development. I have been with the company since pre-release, and my duties, the frameworks we utilize, the methodology's we employed changed rapidly in the beginning as our team grew, and began to take hold onto something more concrete, for the sake of brevity, I'll be focusing more on my role in its current state, as it's much more well defined and concrete.We utilize the agile framework, and have a very strict SDLC, with firm-goals/short-deadlines for every scheduled patch; minor patches on a bi weekly basis, larger ones monthly, and major seasonally. My Team does not write the official patch notes, nor the final beta testing, so my team oscillates between devlopment/hard-coding in semi-isolation in week 1, and week 2 is ensuring defined goals are met, and implementing our code with the other teams', and the larger code base as a whole. We then review the methodology we employed, ensuring efficiency, purpose, adequate goal completion, and try to cut out any redundancy that may overlap with our/other teams code.

I provide tier 3 desktop support for all TCC employees. I am responsible for keeping all 1400 computers on the TCC South Campus in compliance, and operational. I manage all Windows updates, software updates, software installations, VPN’s, Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, PXE, WoL, and more. I also handle all end-user computing issues, computer/peripheral replacements, anti-virus, Crestron/Extron, MDT servers, and hardware repair.

I worked as an end-point for all data in the Information Security department. I was responsible for formatting all HDDs/SSDs/USBs in compliance with NSA/DoD standards. I also worked as a software distributor, and created/maintained/deployed all employee requested software. I managed several databases, servers, file-shares, and system images.

My job as a Project Manager was to assign and oversee a group of people (around 20), using a list of time-sensitive tasks to be completed using daily, weekly, and monthly goals. I used changed management guidelines, and utilized continuous design principles. Held virtual meetings daily, and worked closely with my team to ensure on-track completions of each lesson plan, as outlined by our master schedule.

My employment at Open English started as a Course Developer, and ended as a Project Manager. As a Course Developer, I wrote the code for all lessons to display on a variety of devices in accordance to our User Interface Designer's specifications. Tested programs with user simulation/feedback. Noted all programming changes according to UML standards.

Throughout most of my full-time employment, I have ran an independent computer repair business. In the beginning, these were personal computer builds/repairs/maintenance, but I began to work with small-medium sized businesses. There are several companies where I was their on-call IT for many years. These were often small accounting, construction, housing, or other various trade businesses who were not large enough to hire a full-time IT employee. The scope of IT duties in this position is large, and entailed all kinds of desktop, application, networking, Active Directory, hardware, security, and software support.

I would gather workflow information for a variety of positions, and would cutout redundancies, streamline processes, and develop programs to automate certain tasks. I worked with several workflow analysts, and moved from department to department documenting, programming, and streamlining their processes. I wrote detailed explanations of current processes, issues/short-comings of current methods, my suggestions for improvement, and a cost/risk/savings analysis of my suggested changes.

Here I worked in the housing inspection department. We used a combination of Excel, IDQ (proprietary), and our Mainframe client to communicate housing inspection data between the inspectors, and the underwriters. Using VB.net I was able to automate my entire department’s (40 people) 8 hours of work in less than 2 hours each day. I then developed the front-end, encapsulated it for security, documented/noted the various segments of code, and created a user-friendly interface with detailed instructions so that anyone could use my program. This involved ActiveX, VB.net, Microsoft Excel, IDQ, and mainframe, all of which I was able to implement in one VB.net program. This led me to my next position at Allstate.

During this time, I held a few positions in retail/food-service, and worked as a waiter at several high-end restaurants; these taught me efficient sales techniques, and quality customer-service skills. Through the staffing agency I also held many different types of clerical/call-center/receptionist/data-entry/sales positions.
