Developed and implemented many energy saving projects for the company. Successfully implemented an Energy Management System by collecting monthly gas and electric utility invoice usage data, tracking and merging index trends with steel tube production at 8 manufacturing plants. Audited plant utility meters and sub-meters, and heat related processes. Established plant procedures and programs for energy conservation. Audited all plant operations, furnaces, and processes for safe and efficient energy utilization. Responsible for energy saving LED lighting changes, compressed air optimizations at several plants for cost reductions and utility rebate program opportunities. Established several Capital projects utilizing VFDs to reduce plant electric usage.

Developed and installed comprehensive Energy Management Systems at various Industrial plants across the US. (Oil Refineries, Paper Mills, Polyester, Ceramic Tile, and Wood Rosin plants).using DMAIC methods. Emphasis was placed on metering, measuring, and accounting for each plant or unit's total energy usage, and implementing numerous energy saving team based action plans and process controls, saving significant energy dollars for each client.

Directed the plant maintenance and capital project management functions at a Dolomite Refractory brick manufacturing plant. Supervised the Plant Maintenance Department. Managed purchasing of all repair parts, and new plant equipment. Directed installation of upgraded PLC controls on a 1400 Ton Press. Supervised major repairs to a 1250 Ton Hydraulic Press. Supervised Installation of two Kuka robotic work cells at two large Laeis hydraulic presses. Managed plant mobile equipment program, and all plant utility and energy resources. Facilitated Plant Safety projects. Managed Residual Waste disposal. Plant was a Union shop with 24/7 operations.

Managed the Plant Engineering and Maintenance function for this Insulating Fire Brick manufacturer. Successfully completed a specialized Automatic Insulating Fire Brick Slab Feeder, and Automatic Brick Carton Palletizer, utilizing PLC controls. Installed new tunnel kiln controls. Supervised a multi-craft maintenance department supporting continuous operations, in an automated, continuous environment. Managed Natural Gas and Electric resources for the plant. Conducted Energy Audits Successfully coordinated retrofitting a 750 KVA PCB Transformer in one day, with minimal outage. On special assignment to administer the Health, Safety, and Environmental responsibilities for the company, at three plants related to H.S. E., residual waste management, MSDSs, and SARA environmental reports.
