I got hooked on coding the first time I typed a Pokémon into the Pokédex CLI app I cobbled together in Python. It crashed because I mistyped the name and I hadn't learned about error handling yet, but still, a love was born. Shortly after, I learned there was a programming language I could use to display, not only the stats, but also pictures of those Pokémon -- HTML. I've been a web developer ever since.I quickly found out Pokédex apps don't make money, so I learned React and started building websites for SMB clients. Freelancing taught me a ton, like the value of carrying a project through from start to finish and the importance of conversion-focused designs that help achieve business goals.Recently, I dove into the Web3 space (I guess Pokédex apps can make money?), and I've been working at a startup where I get to hone my skills in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with rad developers and creators, and continue building cool things.
