I have recently graduated with a 1st class honors Bsc Psychology with Clinical and Health Psychology. I am compelled to want to make a change in the way people view mental health and to bridge the inequality gaps within society. I'm really interested in being a mental health advocate, and working with families and children through social work.Currently, I'm on a steady pace to achieving my goals. So far I have completed volunteer work for deafblinduk and the girlguiding association. Although I'm finding it difficult to get relevant experience with COVID-19, I've applied myself well and had three part-time jobs during university which involved good communication skills and leadership, to enhance my confidence. I have now secured myself a place to study at the University of Bristol MSc Social Work.I hope to be able to help people and make a difference in their lives, by just being that one person who listens. I can't wait to enhance my current skills and apply them to help other vulnerable people and eventually become a social worker.
