This is my main field of interest, requiring an interdisciplinary knowledge and understanding of engineering sciences that exploits and utilizes my abilities originating through my studies, self-motivation, research, and direct on-the-job work experience in flight dynamics, aerodynamics, mechanics, electronics, mechatronics, robotics, geodesy, guidance, navigation & control (GNC), modeling & simulation (M&S), verification & validation (V&V) for design & development of air-vehicle systems.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:20+ years of academic, military and industry experience in systems engineering design & development processes, specializing in:• Flight dynamics, aerodynamics, stability, maneuverability and control analyses of air-vehicle systems in support of design & development processes.• Requirements analysis & definition for air-vehicle systems and subsystems using analytical, predictive, conceptual and simulation modeling techniques.• Development of flight simulation models & infrastructures with various levels of fidelity in MATLAB®, Simulink® and Stateflow® to satisfy system- and subsystem-level requirements, with automatic code generation capability for Simulator and System Integration Lab (SIL) environments.• Development of software tools and methods for automated air-vehicle stability & control analyses, and flight control law design using classical, modern, and nonlinear design techniques.• Conceptual, experimental, software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, pilot-in-the-loop, and flight-test verification & validation of modeling & simulation software tools, system and subsystem design requirements, flight control system performance, and overall air-vehicle system performance.• Algorithm development for air-vehicle autonomy in all areas of GNC, and fly-by-wire aircraft for PIO-resistant flight control systems design.• Performance evaluation, effectiveness analysis, and multi-objective design optimization of air-vehicle systems, control architectures and the various flight control, actuation and sensor technologies.• Semi-empirical, wind-tunnel, hardware-in-the-loop and flight-test data analysis and system identification.
