Smp (Structural, Mechanical & Piping) Rigging Supervisor
CurrentClough were awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) scope for the Waitsia Stage 2 Development. The Waitsia gas field is one of the largest onshore gas fields in Australia, the project includes a new 250 TJ/day gas processing plant with a 20-year life-cycle that will convey gas via the nearby Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline. Employed as a SMP (Structural, Mechanical and Piping) Rigging Supervisor, core role accountabilities have thus far included (but not been limited to):► Planning, coordinating, delegating and supervising daily rigging schedules to ensure the safe and efficient provision of site rigging services for the installation of structural steel modules, as well as providing technical and procedural guidance for all movements, facilitating daily planning and pre-start meetings, and managing timesheets ► Leading by example regarding safety compliance, ensuring all risk assessments are completed to identify and control hazards to people, the equipment and the environment, strictly following all HSE policies and procedures, and holding meaningful safety interactions to raise site safety awareness (and same for all roles below)► Ensuring safe and efficient rigging operations, analysing correct weights and centres of gravity, selecting slings, checking fittings and clips, monitoring distances from overhead hazards, and acting as outside eyes and ears for operators► Working closely with engineering team members, managing permits to work, and ensuring the overall attainment of KPI’s► Supporting a positive team culture and ensuring respectful discussion to resolve issues (same for all leader roles below).
