As the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Appsilon Enterprise since February 2nd, 2017, I have been leading a rapidly expanding team of experts focused on the cutting-edge research and development of advanced diamond materials and applications. With a humble beginning as a two-person team, our organization has now grown to include 40 dedicated professionals working across R&D, production, and business innovation.Leveraging my extensive expertise in diamond growth optimization, I have successfully employed various Microwave Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition (MPCVD) reactors with unique designs and frequencies to enhance both polycrystalline and single-crystalline diamond production. Our synthesized single crystal diamonds cater to a diverse array of applications, ranging from optical and jewelry industries to groundbreaking uses in quantum technologies and semiconductor fields.Beyond the mass production of diamond materials, my role as CTO involves driving forward-thinking R&D initiatives to identify the next product-market fit for high-quality intrinsic and extrinsic diamonds. Our innovative research efforts are fueled by a commitment to exploring the untapped potential of diamond materials, unlocking new possibilities for their use in advanced technologies and applications.Under my leadership, Appsilon Enterprise has emerged as a pioneer in the synthesis and application of diamonds, propelling the company to the forefront of the industry. As a process engineer at Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research & Application Center (SUNUM), I contributed significantly to a project focused on the manufacturing of graphene-based OLED displays. My primary responsibilities included growing graphene via chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and characterizing its properties using advanced techniques such as atomic force microscopy (AFM), Raman spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy.I am well-versed in the requirements of working in a clean room environment, specifically adhering to Class 100 standards. My experience extends to the operation of specialized equipment such as glove boxes, mask aligners, e-beam lithography systems, deep reactive ion etching tools, ellipsometers, and physical vapor deposition systems. I enjoyed full access to all devices within SUNUM's clean room, which allowed me to gain a comprehensive understanding of these essential tools and technologies.In addition to my core responsibilities, I collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers, helping to optimize the overall production process for the graphene-based OLED displays. This experience allowed me to develop a strong understanding of the importance of effective communication and teamwork in such a cutting-edge research environment.During my time at SUNUM, I also contributed to the development of new methodologies and innovative solutions for overcoming challenges related to graphene growth and OLED integration. My analytical skills, combined with my ability to adapt to new technologies, enabled me to improve the efficiency and reliability of the manufacturing process.
