Within the Bureau of Legal Services and Stewardship, serve as the primary contact in Essex, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic and Union counties for landowners, local government officials, nonprofits, consultants and other State Programs and Agencies who require assistance in understanding Green Acres regulations and what can and cannot occur on Green Acres encumbered parklandSpecific tasks include: • Review of documents submitted by local units and nonprofits pertaining to: o Proposed diversions and disposals of Green Acres encumbered parkland, administrative transfers of parkland, change in purpose or use of parkland, proposed leases and use agreements for parkland.• Collaborating with Green Acres staff and NJDEP Programs to assess and formulate responses to complex project proposals. This entails review of land use applications, deeds, conservation easements, appraisals, surveys.• Representing Green Acres on NJ Conservation Blueprint Steering Committee and visioning team. • Coordinating, as necessary, with Green Acres’ Local Governments and Nonprofit Assistance Program, State Land Acquisition Program, Tax Exempt Program and Blue Acres to provide responses to inquiries.

Assist in the instruction of a section of a course titled Earth, People and Environment offered by the Department of Geography, Planning and Sustainability. Additionally, serve as a research assistant and project manager for the New Jersey Conservation Blueprint.

Assisted with stewardship projects, grant reviews, logistics for New Jersey Land Rally and, by request of policy department, researched, composed and designed fact sheets illustrating impacts to New Jersey’s natural resources by pipelines proposed to enter or be built within the state.

Oversaw contract negotiation, scheduling and logistics from inception to completion for multiple, simultaneous events.
