Taylor Foster attended Baylor University from 2005-2008 where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She remained at Baylor from 2008-2011 to study beta-lactamase inhibitors and earned a Master's in Biomedical Studies. From 2010-2012, Taylor gained invaluable canine neonatal care experience as a foster for Humane Society of Central Texas. Between 2011 and 2014, Taylor gained public speaking and leadership skills by teaching science courses at the middle school, high school, and junior college levels. During that time Taylor gained valuble veterinary shadowing experiences at both a small animal and equine clinics. In 2014, Taylor made a career change into veterinary medicine and began studying Veterinary Technology at Blinn College. She began working as a Client Service Coordinator in January 2015 at Banfield Pet Hospital of College Station. Upon earning her Associate's degree in 2016, Taylor was hired on by Texas A&M Veterinary Hospital. After a short stint in the TAMU Small Animal Anesthesia department, Taylor found her calling in TAMU Small Animal ICU where she became weekend night shift lead. As a ICU veterinary technician she gained valuable skills such as oxygen therapy administration, fluid therapy administration, placement of male and female urinary catheters, long line catheters, jugular catheters, and one-on-one patient care. In 2018, Taylor joined the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2022 where she acted as treasurer in Auburn chapter of Omega Tau Sigma veterinary fraternity and president of the Auburn Student Chapter of the American College of Veterinary Pathologist. After graduating, Taylor applies her experience and skills as an ICU veterinary technician to her career in veterinary emergency medicine.
