I am an aspiring accounting major from Auburn University. I have a strong interest in specializing in the auditing field, and I enjoy tracking down and going through the histories of things to track down answers. I have experience leading small teams to reach goals and also have a strong work drive. Over my summers for the past four years, I have been working for the Ridge Marina and managed to earn the respect of those above me because I was able to properly and quickly accomplish all tasks they gave me. I believe in hard work and pushing those around me to also achieve their best. I have been known to help to help those that I work with to improve as well as improve myself. At my work, we have had years where we had slackers to begin with, but over time as we worked together we began to become more polished and effective. I like to work with others and have our strengths complement each others, and to also assist each other in overcoming our weaknesses. Despite this though, I also work well as an individual and do some of my best work when I am left on my own and given a deadline. I hope to use these skills and connections I make in college to help further my skills and abilities to better enhance my performance for when I reach my career.

  During my time with Russell Marine I gained many skills and found out many strengths about myself. Having to take care of over 890 customers as well as their families and boats, crafted new challenges that had to be overcome everyday. Having to work every weekend over the summer for most teenagers is unspeakable. I actually saw this as an added challenge, because if I could handle these hours then the time requirements for other jobs would seem easier. The course of my time here also saw the development of my leadership skills. I was viewed as a leader by my bosses and was responsible for ensuring that my fellow coworkers I worked with helped achieved our companies goals. Achieved we did with us contributing to make sales quotas bestowed upon us, for example the weekend of July 4th we brought in over 300,000 dollars that weekend. In short, my time here at Russell helped to develop the idea of hard work and dedication that I hold dear.
