I am a Business Development Manager at Biocytogen, a Contract Research Organization providing a wide array of Preclinical research services and animal models to Biotech, Pharmaceutical companies, and Academia. The cornerstones of our services include a powerful suite of Gene Editing Technology, Antibody Discovery, and a large humanized Animal and Cell catalog. My territory includes Georgia, Florida, and portions of Massachusetts. Prior to this position, I spent 8 months working at Elevian, a start-up Biotech developing rGDF11 for the treatment of Stroke. In this position, I developed an imaging analysis methodology using Tissuegnostics software to analyze immune cells in the rat brain.I graduated from the University At Buffalo in 2021 with a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from Ira Blader's laboratory. There I worked on identifying how the protozoan parasite, Toxoplasma gondii, can induce seizures in immunocompromised individuals. This experience included everything from designing animal experiments to animal handling and a wide range of bench techniques. At my undergraduate institution, Le Moyne College, I spent nearly 2 years as a researcher in a physiology laboratory studying hypoxic challenges in mice using barometric plethysmography. I also had a brief experience doing environmental science research in Iceland studying flora changes on the glacial forelands.
