Ran the cannabidiol isolate recrystallization, and rolled film short path distillation process rooms, following relevant SOPs and meeting attainment KPI's as set by management. Demonstrated flexibility and initiative both on, and off, the production floor by adapting my working hours to meet changing company needs, and assisting with priority processes, such as primary and secondary packaging, as required. Proactively communicated process metrics and abnormalities to management, and trained new staff on operating procedures.

Assisted in both the set up, and scale up, of HEXO's Order Fulfillment Department at the Belleville Centre of Excellence. I used Excel extensively to develop and generate pick reports, digital inventory, labour hour tracking, and process specific spreadsheets to help optimize department operations. I participated in daily logistics team meetings, and became proficient with using Dynamics 365 for digital inventory management. Oversaw the execution of the order fulfillment process by supporting six on the floor staff and actively solving problems as they arose.

Worked as part of a multidisciplinary team in the role of Analytical Chemistry Research Intern. Used a variety of colorimetric assays to quantify target analytes such as total protein, endotoxin and free carbohydrate in both purified and unpurified bulk drug substances. Ran SDS-PAGE to identify the molecular weight of proteins as well as using and developing existing SEC/GPC methods to determine protein and carbohydrate characteristics. Developed and amended protocols to comply with cGMP requirements.
