Taylor Cahill is a 26-year-old professional mixed martial artist based out of Somerset County, Pennsylvania. The young prospect is a product of Indio Dojo in Pittsburgh. Taylor is also serving as a first lieutenant in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard where he is a medical platoon leader.Cahill made his pro MMA debut after a 2-0 run as an amateur. Before MMA, Cahill was a standout wrestler in the prestigious state of Pennsylvania. He began his wrestling career path at the age of five and eventually distinguished himself as one of the state’s best. He also represented Team PA on multiple occasions, earning honors as a high school All-American. Taylor continued his scholastic wrestling career at the NCAA Division l level. He competed at Bloomsburg University, Clarion County of PA, and The State University of New York at Buffalo in his senior year. Taylor had multiple All-Conference honors at each institution, and appeared in the coaches’ top 33 poll his sophomore year. Taylor simultaneously served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard while participating in the Army ROTC program at Clarion University where he was a scholarship cadet. Additionally, Taylor competed in sanctioned USA Boxing matches at 19-20 years old. He fought in the historic Golden Gloves Boxing tournament where he defeated two-time Golden Gloves Champion and current undefeated professional Eric Lomax. Unfortunately, the fight was later overturned in an extremely controversial manner ruling Taylor the loser.Taylor currently competes actively in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions. He has won multiple expert-level and blue belt championships. Cahill is a member of the United States Grappling World Team at 84kg. Cahill is a BJJ Blue Belt under the son of the legendary Master Indio Silva, Danillo “Indio” Villefort. He has trained under many world class instructors such as UFC Champion Murillo Bustamante, as well as the world-renowned trainer Tom Yankello, who has trained the great Roy Jones Jr., and former IBF World Champion Paul Spadafora, Brian Minto, along with many others.
