Responsible for assessing and prosecuting voluminous and complex felony and misdemeanor docket including filing criminal charges, case assessment, and plea negotiations. Argued several motions and preliminary hearings on a variety of legal issues. Prepped and conducted over 15 jury trials from jury selection to verdict in a variety of criminal cases. Successfully petitioned the Colorado Supreme Court under C.A.R. 21 to address novel legal issue. Argued Rule 21 issue to Colorado Supreme Court.

Assist District Court judge in researching and drafting orders on dispositive motions encompassing a diverse and complex civil, domestic, criminal, and probate docket, including personal-injury cases, commercial litigation, domestic relation cases, and cases involving estate litigation. Managed Court’s civil docket by calendaring filing deadlines for review and coordinating appearances before the Court. Assisted the Court as Bailiff during several jury trials.

Assist Attorneys by providing legal research for various trial, motion, and appellate briefs for criminal defense and civil cases. Worked on civil rights cases and helped prepare Attorneys for oral arguments before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Prepare motions for post-conviction Habeas Corpus relief for capital punishment case.

Assisted Attorneys by drafting various trial and motion briefs in large variety of civil cases ranging from insurance litigation, breach of contract, personal injury, etc. Principal drafter of appellate brief affirmed by Colorado Court of Appeals.
