About Taylor Devlin

As a graduate student in the Karen Fleming lab, I study outer membrane protein folding and biogenesis in gram-negative bacteria. Specifically, I work to understand how periplasmic chaperones prevent outer membrane protein misfolding and aggregation from a functional, thermodynamic, and structural perspective. My work involves collecting and integrating data from several biophysical techniques such as photo-crosslinking, analytical ultracentrifugation, mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance, small-angle x-ray scattering, and molecular modeling.
