I work as a Direct Support Professional for people with various psychological and physical disabilities. Tasks Include helping the individuals with their day-to-day lives like showering, toileting, eating, etc., and helping them be as independent as possible.

I often had a very heavy workload when working shifts at this job. I have very good work ethic so I was really able to exercise that working here. The workload was often extensive & strenuous. It was my responsibility to clean rooms across the entire hotel and help achieve satisfaction from the guests.

I exercised a lot of personal skills at this job as well as attaining others through my experience. I often worked in a high stress environment and communicated with and served many different kinds of people. This job required communication, organization, interpersonal, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
