The primary focus of this role is taking on the financial responsibility to raise money for the betterment of Marklund residents. As a non-profit this stewardship is vital to creating a thriving community for approximately 180 adult residents with severe disabilities who are dependent on 24-hour care. My primary role is twofold. First, working with donors and potential donors who may give less than $500.00 annually, my goal is to create memorable and action-oriented touch points. Second, tie together the different donation streams to meet annual goals.

Assumed the Executive Director role to build a center from the ground up focused on three tenants: enhance and enrich the quality of lives of those in Geneva, promote civic and cultural development through the arts and increase our connectedness as that is vital to our mental health. In short order, established a complete artist’s exhibition and event calendar stretching 13 months, while establishing the operational foundation of the organization.

Brought into the Executive Director role to stabilize the organization’s finances. Completely redefined the budgeting process to drive more awareness as to which activities could profitably be maintained. Despite the ongoing impact of COVID, added $125,000 of new grant and fundraising revenue.
