Legal Intern
As a legal intern in the Rackets and Organized Crime Bureau at the Nassau County District Attorney's Office, I work closely with Assistant District Attorneys to support various phases of prosecution. My responsibilities include assisting attorneys with case preparation for grand jury presentations, hearings, trials, and appeals. I conduct legal research and draft correspondence, memos, and other legal documents. Additionally, I observe court proceedings and witness interviews to gain practical insights into the prosecutorial process. Furthermore, I participate in tours and visits to other law enforcement entities, including the Nassau County Correctional Facility, the Office of the Medical Examiner's laboratories, and the Nassau County Police Department's training facility. This role has provided me with invaluable experience in the legal field, enhancing my understanding of organized crime prosecution and the inner workings of a prosecutor's office.
