In 2019, I began the journey of starting a small cut flower farm located in Gwinnett County. With experience and knowledge gained from working at a seasonal landscape company and help from a seasoned horticulturist, the first season focused on easy to grow local cut flowers to bring to farmers markets every weekend. From there, the business has now expanded to local deliveries, wholesale, and flower events hosted at apartment communities throughout Atlanta. From the field to the farmers market, I believe that one never stops learning, and each season will always bring a new set of challenges to face. However, the reward that comes with the labor of watching a plant grow from a seed to bright beautiful flower will always be worth it. - Plan and coordinate flower production- Research and develop opportunities to increase sale performance- Provide exceptional customer service- Oversee web design and e-commerce- Create and implement marketing strategies

Coordinate and communicate with Georgia Southern’s Center for Sustainability, the Departments of Biology and Health and Kinesiology, the Office of Student Leadership and Community Engagement, Bulloch County Parks and Recreation, the Bulloch County Board of Education, and Lee Family Farms to develop an After School Garden Program at five elementary schools in Bulloch County. Recruit Georgia Southern student volunteers to teach elementary children lessons in plant biology, agriculture, health and nutrition during a 10-week garden program that takes place during the Parks and Rec Afterschool Program.

Service-Learning Facilitators assist faculty by conducting and coordinating meaningful service-learning projects within Georgia Southern class rooms. Worked with Biology professors, community agencies, Georgia Southern students, and the Center for Sustainability to design volunteer opportunities relevant to the course lessons. Communicated and managed volunteer opportunities for a class of 220 students.
