Our role is in nurturing new families and holding space for each families' individual experience by stepping into their homes during the fourth trimester with open hearts and attentive listening skills. Through our work, we aim to facilitate a positive experience in transition to life with your new baby. We support our clients at every turn with unbiased, evidence-based information. Postpartum doulas provide a variety of support during the first 12 weeks postpartum, including newborn care education, infant feeding and lactation support, new-sibling integration, meal preparation, light housework, and support with postpartum rest and recovery. My work as a doula includes customized emotional support, gentle companioning, and holding space while providing a whole family approach to compassion centered postpartum support. It is always her goal when working with a family newly postpartum to be a support in all of those areas while nurturing mothers in a way that compliments their own physical and emotional well-being, as well as helping facilitate bonding with their newborn and instilling confidence in newborn care and lactation.
