Stories connect people. My goal is to help people craft their stories so they can share them with the world. In my work as a freelance editor and college essay writing tutor, I teach people how to construct compelling narratives, conduct thorough research, cite their sources, and effectively deliver information. I love developmental editing and copyediting, and I’m a fan of the Oxford comma.I graduated cum laude from Wellesley College with a B.A. in History and English & Creative Writing. Currently, I am a student in the George Washington University’s MPS in Publishing program, and I am on the Editorial Committee for the GW Journal of Ethics in Publishing. In the future, I aim to work as a publisher at an academic press or a trade press.My favorite hobby is Dungeons & Dragons, which is a collaborative fantasy tabletop role-playing game. Throughout campaigns, I love developing narratives with my party members and digging deep into characterization. In my free time, I also like going for runs around the local lakes, cooking and baking, and playing flute and piano. I adore all animals, especially cats.In 2018, I was diagnosed with Pseudotumor Cerebri. Because of this illness, I was not able to immediately enter the job market upon completing my undergraduate education. Now, I am fully recovered and more eager than ever to pursue my passion for publishing. My experience overcoming this illness has made me truly value every opportunity I have moving forward.
