I student taught in a 1st grade classroom in Minden for my student teaching practicum at UNK.

I worked with two other co-teachers to observe a 2nd grade math class. I also wrote a small group activities involving partitioning rectangles where we used cuisenaire rods, and a whole group lesson plan following the EnVision curriculum on the standard algorithm of subtracting two-digit numbers with partitioning.

I worked one-on-one with two students in the 5th grade science class, forming a science unit to prepare the students for the science convention. We did our science experiment on if mints truly cooled down water. We formed an interactive notebook, went through the scientific process, performed the experiment, and made a power point to present in front of fellow students and parents at the science convention.

I worked with a co-teacher to observe a 5th grade social studies class and write a lesson plan on the Constitution for the class. For our lesson plan, we had each table of students be one of the 13 colonies and they had to come up with their own laws to write in their state constitution and then we voted on which laws to put into our national constitution.

Teacher aid for Pre-K at Zion Lutheran School in Kearney, NE. I help supervise the kids, organize upcoming activities, teach Handwriting Without Tears, and teach other lessons as they come up.

This is a summer seasonal position.I am a day camp instructor at a city day camp for ages 4-10. We learned about nature and time eras (everything really), played games, and did crafts. I also coached soccer for ages 4-6.

I worked one-on-one with two 5th graders and a 1st grader, working on math activities to build their math skills and assess what level they were on.

I spent all day on Mondays in a Kindergarten classroom observing their daily schedule and multiple subject areas. My focus was literature in the classroom and other subject areas. I assisted with math and reading small groups and wrote a whole group lesson plan featuring the book Bringing Down the Moon.

I am a fire fighter and EMT on the Minden Volunteer Fire Department. We respond to the majority of Kearney County in Nebraska. I am currently training to be on the rope rescue team as well.
