Learning how to teach and explain many concepts to different ages and learning styles has helped me to grow my own communication and explanatory skills. Through choreographing, I've begun to find creative inspiration in everyday life, which has been able to transfer over into my career in event management. Assisting at recitals requires precise organization and control, including both time and people.

The most important thing I gained from working at Wheatberries is the ability to work both independently and in a team. Days could vary from working alone for 11 hours to working with all other staff members. In such a hectic traffic hub such as the BC Ferries Terminal, the ability to stay calm under extreme pressure has come in handy. I was also in charge of the staff and managerial duties while the manager was away, including stock, ordering, training etc.
