I have been working my way through a family owned company for the past 6 years. During that time, I decided that I wanted to better myself and finally finish my university Civil Engineering degree and started attending classes at University of Arkansas at Little Rock 3 years ago. I am more than halfway done with my degree but life took a change and I ended up moving to Austin, TX to follow my fiancée as she got the job offer of a lifetime. I plan on attending classes at UT - Austin or a local university once I'm considered a Texas resident (spring 2022) as I've been paying my way to avoid taking any loans if possible and instate tuition is considerably cheaper.My work experience with my current employer, Environmental Services Company, Inc., based out of Little Rock, AR has been broad to say the least. As a small business everyone that works there is expected to wear many hats and I was no exception. I started out as an Environmental Technician (read: grunt) who performed mostly manual labor in preparing for, setting up, and controlling the physical equipment on a job site. I took an interest in the work that the Project Managers (PM) performed and through self drive and intuition I trained myself on all of the duties that are required of a PM so that I could eventually ask for a promotion. After about 2 years of training and hard work I started managing my own projects and also tested for and passed all 5 groups of the Qualified Source Testing Individual (QSTI) exams. Once I passed those tests, I also took on the role of Reporting Specialist and aside from the President/COO, I'm the only person that generates reports that are delivered to clients. I am mostly self-taught for all of the skills that I have, but I have been using those same skills in a professional environment for the past 4 years.

  Managed projects in our Air Division ranging across multiple states and internationally. Qualified as QSTI in groups 1-5 for methods from 40 CFR part 60 and 63. Responsible for generating compliance testing protocols, Site Specific Testing Plans and ensuring that the state and federal agencies are notified of the testing. Key member in generating all of the field spreadsheets used by all employees for recording field data with integrated data reduction and responsible for a majority of compliance reports that were issued to clients. Have helped in performing SWPPP, QVSI, stormwater sampling, wastewater sampling and wastewater analysis.
