I graduated from Purdue University in May of 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Hearing Sciences with a minor in Psychology. I went on to Indiana State University and graduated in August of 2015 with a Master's degree in Communication Disorders. I completed my school practicum at Lew Wallace Elementary/Morton High School in Hammond, Indiana. In this setting I evaluated and treated students ranging from preschool to high school classrooms exhibiting speech and language deficits. I then completed my medical externship at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Here I gained experience in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and neonatal intensive care. I then was employed at Sertoma Speech and Hearing Centers in Palos Hills, Illinois from August 2015 to June 2017. There I evaluate and treat patients of all ages with speech and language deficits. From approximately August through May, I was contracted to A.E.R.O Special Education Cooperative in Burbank, Illinois. I push in to the classrooms all day and provide speech and language therapy to students receiving special education services. The students I work with range in age from 6 to 22 years and most present with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delay, or Intellectual Disability.I am currently employed at Oak Lawn Hometown School District 123. I push in to the classroom, as well as pull students out to provide speech and language therapy. I work with students who present with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delay, Down's Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, as well as general speech and language delays.
