At 76 Golf World there are many jobs to be done. I work inside doing many different tasks. Sometimes I work the front desk, which is where we sell our outdoor attractions and where we have all of our communication with our customers. It is always possible that we answer phone calls which happens regularly because people have many questions about or attractions and the rules that come with them. We also have a confession stand that is also another place that I can be assigned to work and help the customers enjoy their visit. With all of these jobs comes a big mess. So yes we have to do the custodial duties that come along with that. But seeing the children excited faces makes it all worth it.

I aspire to have a career in either physical therapy or athletic training. At my internship, I get to shadow the physical therapist, the physical therapist assistant, and the athletic trainer. They mostly work with geriatrics, but we have some patients that are in their twenties. My other duties involved are to clean the tables in between patients and to talk with the patients and make them feel comfortable. They are a lot of fun to be around and I have learned a lot while being there.

During my sophomore year, I decided I wanted to join an athletic team. Through high school I had participated in sports and I missed being on a team. I decided to join rowing because I had never done it before and they were having walk-on tryouts. When I made the team I was ecstatic. Rowing is a year round sport and it takes a lot of dedication and handwork. I learned a lot and made a lot of lifelong friends.
