I am passionate about working with educators, families, and communities to make the best education possible for all students regardless of identity and circumstance. I have 8 years of secondary teaching experience and over 320 administrative internship hours in elementary, middle, high, and district levels. I am a proud alum of the Teach for America Greater Delta Corps and spent two years teaching at Higgins Middle School in Clarksdale, Mississippi. I am currently employed with the Henry County Public Schools District teaching United States/ Virginia Government in the Warrior Tech Program and general population Psychology at Magna Vista High School. I have a Bachelor's Degree in History from Roanoke College, a Master's of Education Degree with a concentration in Educational Leadership from James Madison University, a Virginia Secondary Social Studies Teaching License, and Virginia PreK-12 Administrator Endorsement. My husband, Ryan, and I love to explore new places and hope to visit the West Coast and Japan in the future. While at home, our rescue dog, Mei, keeps us pretty busy. I also enjoy reading, singing in a local choir, and watching Food Network. Color-coded lists, puns, and movie theater popcorn make me happy!
