I earned my B.S. in physics from the University of California, San Diego with the goal of becoming a medical doctor. During my undergrad, I committed two years as a physics tutor for Classical Mechanics. I am passionate about improving science literacy and inspiring other non-traditional students in the STEM field. Since I am the first in my family to pursue a college degree, I understand how lonely and confusing academia can be; therefore, I always prioritized establishing a welcoming atmosphere in my physics office hours and with my classmates. While at UC San Diego, I spent two years as an undergraduate researcher in the Jun Lab, a quantitative microbiology lab within the physics department. My research focused on investigating resource allocation in bacteria and fundamental regulators of bacterial growth. Through research, I could explore my passion for mathematic models and find novel applications in biological processes. I am the Patient Coordinator and Assistant Manager for a general practitioner. I am the first point of contact for all patients. I pride myself on establishing a friendly and professional environment with incoming or prospective patients. Our office has the privilege of serving CA first responders and immigration applicants. Both of these patient populations make our community a better place and I am enthused to be able to advocate for these communities.
