Managed 18-20 Manufacturing Technicians and operations in a specified functional area of the Fab. Performed Captain-of-Ship duties and as Emergency Response Team Leader on a rotating basis.Responsible for recognizing and escalating constraints in the factory by influencing different stakeholders across the organization.

• Performed time surveys and video analysis, in addition to interviewing machine operators and contacting machine vendors in order to simulate the packaging system.• Performed Team Captain duties during the key formative period of the project.• Our project identified key changes to increase production capacity by 20% to 50% by increasing availability of the packaging system.

• Conducted a time survey of water treatment plant and used the results to recommend a scheduling change that reduced overtime by 6 hours per week.• Constructed prototype load tag organizational tray to more efficiently utilize the time available to machine operators.• Performed a preliminary 5-S evaluation of packaging system in preparation for installation of new equipment that would place greater load on the system.• Wrote a Job Safety Assessment for new equipment, which would have taken several months for upper management to get done. This helped us to establish SOP’s regarding safety procedures on the new equipment.

• Audited and improved quality control procedures throughout the plant.• Traveled to customer plants to resolve quality concerns/issues, often interfacing with their quality manager and determining what the cause was and our options for rework.• Filled out weekly and monthly quality system audit reports to both quality and production managers in an effort to better inform them of the situation on the floor.

• Researched pilot plant scale-up needs and equipment costs/options.• Determined “best” initial processing of product after analyzing what problems there were with the current process and how we could scale it up to larger batches.• Designed initial test reactor vessel in Autodesk Inventor and submitted the designs to the machine shop. I continued to work with the machine shop as issues arose.
