I have worked in the cosmetics world since I was 18. I have always loved makeup since I was a little girl. Always getting into my mom's makeup, especially her favorite red Estee Lauder lipstick that she had to wear being a Flight Attendant for TWA. I grew up in St.Louis, Missouri and one day I was in Macy's chatting with the lady at the Clarins Cosmetic counter who told me I should apply. I did just that and started my career as a Macy's Cosmetic Contingent. Where I worked at all of the counters from Clinique, Lancome, Estee Lauder, MAC, Clarins, Chanel and so on. After 2 or so years Clinqiue recruited me to be one of their full time consultants. I was there for a little over a year then I relocated 2 hours away where I accepted a fulltime manager position at the Estee Lauder Cosmetic Company store. I was there for another 4 years. I met my husband while working there and he got offered a job in Missoula, Montana.In Montana I opened a brand new Kohls as their first Cosmetic Department Supervisor. After about 5 months I was offered a job at Ulta Beauty and I decided to accept. I was the Prestige Manager there for 4 years. At Ulta I was in charge of the prestige department side including benefit cosmetics. I have to make sure we meet and/or exceed sales/service goals. Making sure as a store we are hitting sales goals/credit goals. I had a team to train, lead, and develop. I am in charge of leading brand focus days, corporate events and store generated events. I built and maintained relationships with multiple prestige brand representatives.I did the hiring and training for the store. I know how to work POS systems, excel, Microsoft word as well as kronos. I've assisted in planing and executing inventories. I have the abilities to handle multiple projects and deadlines. I am very detail oriented and have great organizational skills. I would love to stay in management or become an sales executive in cosmetics but am open to all industries.
