Clinical and Sport Psychologist located in West LA and Westlake Village, CA. Licensed Psychologist in CA and OK. Dr. Taylor Sorenson is a Clinical & Sport Psychologist and is the founder of both Advantage Psychology and Mental Performance Center & L.A. Psychological Assessment. She received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from California Lutheran University and completed her doctoral internship at the University of Oklahoma. While at the University of Oklahoma she received training in their athletic department’s, Psychological Resources for OU Student-Athletes. She completed her post-doctoral training at a private practice in Norman, Oklahoma, under the supervision of Dr. Cody Commander. Within a year she became the Clinic Director of the practice where she oversaw the site's doctoral interns through the internship training program (Oklahoma Sport Psychology Consortium), worked with individual sport and performance clients and managed the psychological assessment side of the practice. She is proud and excited to bring her skills in and passion for psychological assessment and sport and performance psychology back home to Los Angeles. Her areas of clinical focus include psychological testing, sport psychology, performance psychology, anxiety disorders, ADHD and learning disorders, and mood disorders. She has experience working with athletes ranging in age and ability level from elementary school athletes to elite level athletes.
