Nonprofits are critical to our communities and I was excited to create and launch the first annual Board Leadership Award, now one of the Center’s most popular competitions among nonprofits. The award program uncovers and documents innovative practices for all nonprofits to adapt and replicate each year. I also led the Center's very first national conference of direct service nonprofit leaders and staff with more than 300 attendees from around the country.I oversee the Center’s award programs, training and events, provides strategic direction for marketing and communications, and administers internal operations. My focus is on advancing the Center’s mission, goals, fiscal stability, internal structure and strategic planning. Working directly with a wide range of nonprofits, it is critical to observe best practices and challenges, enabling the Center to counsel organizations on proven standards and determine how the Center can help through training and resources.I believe strongly in the powerful impact and value the nonprofit sector brings to the community and I am thrilled to be able to support the goals and altruistic missions of the Center’s members.Specialties: nonprofits, growth, operations, strategy, community building, collaboration
