The Center for Nonprofit Advancement creates better communities by strengthening the capacity of nonprofit organizations throughout Washington, DC, Prince George’s and Montgomery counties in Maryland and throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Center directly supports nearly 800 member nonprofits and participating organizations and actively.

• Report to and partner with the CEO in all decisions affecting the Center’s mission, goals, fiscal stability, internal structure, current and future strategies. Manage a staff of 16, including development, accounting.
• Proactively identify and act on threats and opportunities. Work with the CEO and Board of Directors to maintain strength of the organization and advance progress and growth.
• Ensure all performance metrics are being accurately tracked, monitored and shared with stakeholders.
• Attend all Board of Directors meetings, keeping Board members well informed. Ensure all Board requests and suggestions are given proper consideration and decisions are implemented.
• Work with CEO to determine annual financial planning with a three year forecast plan. Oversee all budgets, accounting responsibilities and resource management.

• Interfaced with top-level executives, sponsors and board members in performing day-to-day operations and advancing organization initiatives. Handled operational, personnel and tenant issues, trouble-shooting.
• Developed and led a selection committee consisting of 22 executive officials recruited from the nonprofit sector in the metropolitan area.
• Initiated and managed all public relations and outreach efforts, including partnering with The Washington Post staff in promotion and presentation logistics.
• Supervised design and production of programs and all collateral print materials
• Organized and ran Award Ceremony event.
• Completed a detailed wrap-up analysis and determine ways to enhance the program for the following year.Created and launched an annual Board Leadership Award, managing all aspects, including:

• Worked as an integral member of a slim, efficient staff supporting and managing a preeminent executive level organization composed of the region’s most influential and diverse leaders. Provided assistance with the.
• Co-coordinated and implemented annual luncheon event serving more than 500 members.
• Responsible for complete management of new fundraising event, “The Shopping Network”. Worked with committee to define parameters, determined and coordinated logistics, solicited store participation, marketed the event.
• Planned and implemented overnight retreat for members of the class of 2010.
