I grew up watching my dad grow his own business and work hard at doing it. From his example, I learned about leadership, discernment, and hard work, attributes I hoped to master as I progressed in life. However, in order to master the skills my dad portrayed so well, I knew sitting back and hoping would not be enough, so I engaged in experiences that would develop my leadership ability, deepen my discernment, and teach me how to work hard. I learned a great deal of skills, and accomplished things I never thought possible simply because I sought out challenges and experiences that would shape me into a successful leader and ultimately bring me to where I am today.Equally important to my learning experiences is the relationships I build during my lifetime. I find great value in building relationships with people around me, because the reality is that I simply cannot accomplish things, or succeed on my own. I believe that success derives from generosity. Many people in my life have been generous enough to introduce me to new opportunities, help me accomplish a task, and provide mentorship.
