I am working in a barn with 0.3 Asian Elephants. I am daily shifting animals, training animals, and running daily routines. I am starting to learn how to do foot care. I also perform daily husbandry duties for a herd of 1.7 Barasingha deer and 1.3 Bar-headed geese. I am also fully trained in an our building with a tiger, leopards, a bear, a porcupine, tortoises, otters, and babirusas. I am doing the daily husbandry routine, including feeding and giving meds to those animals. I help to train new keepers, perform VIP tours and a member of the zoos weapons team. I attended Principles of Elephant Management I in February 2024.

Natural Bridge, Virginia, United States

I was responsible for the daily care of a variety of animals, including llamas, several deer species, ostrich, rhea, eland, wildebeest, watusi, water buffalo, bison, elk, and more. I cleaned barns and fields, feed animals, observed animals and guests, and filled out daily records. I was the employee of the month for Safari for the month of June and September. I worked to train a herd of scimitar-horned oryx to come into a catch pen for their daily feeding.I gave shots to crias, as well as ear tag crias. I assisted in other areas when needed. She also took a tranquilization class and made the DART team, where I darted Llamas, elk calves, Nilgai, and Bongos with dewormer. I also darted a water buffalo with pain medicine. I was trained to run a tractor and put out hay bales in the park.

I was responsible for the daily care of domestic horses at the Wilds. I tacked up, fed, gave medication, groomed, and observed 15 domestic horses. I aided in other departments after the daily horse duties were completed.

Cumberland, Ohio

I cleaned and fed a variety of animals in the Med Barn, Hoof stock Barn, Giraffe Barn, and Budgie Aviaries, where she shifted animals under supervision. I observed medical procedures in pasture, and rhino procedures in the barns. I assisted in a White Rhino training session and a Giraffe Painting session. I bottle-fed a Pere David Deer Fawn. I refilled feed buckets and dump barn carts, as well as assisted in other duties such as blown-out Ostrich eggs. I also used ZIMS to look up animals. She also helped move over 200 American Bison through a chute system.

Cumberland, Ohio

I worked in a range of weather conditions with a range of coworkers. I answered guests' questions about services and animals. I assisted with special events and tours, such as serving guests at Evening at the Outpost Tours. I stayed overnight as concierge at Nomad Ridge where she served guests and shared information about tours and animals, as well as history of the land and stars. I created a memorable and knowledgeable experience for guests.

I attended weekly classes at the Zoo where she learned more about the day to day animal care in each area. I observed animal training sessions in person. I gave a keeper talk on Rhinos at Boo at the Zoo. I created enrichment for Arctic Foxes and Okapis using the SPIDER method, pictures are below.

I assisted in daily animal care at both the Pre-release Facility and Wildlife Hospital. I performed feedings for a range of species, as well as enclosure cleanings and other husbandry duties. I prepared diets for animals and feed out some diets.At hospital, she informed presenters of sick or injury animals of the process at the hospital and basic information, was well as filled out the check in paperwork. Taylor administrated eye drops in song birds and syringe fed baby rabbits, squirrels and opossums.
